About Astara
I have inherited my psychic abilities from my grandmother and great ancestors who were all practicing psychic/mediums. I have read for a psychic telephone company for 2 years and have given personal one to one readings for the last 15 years. I am also able to see auras. I am also a psychology undergraduate
At the open university. I have been studying part time for the last 4 years and will have my B.A Hon Degree in psychology in 2 years time. I feel combining my abilities with my knowledge of human psychology gives me a greater insight into the issues that people can develop. Moreover, understanding the power of the mind is essential when making changes and creating the dreams that you want most out of life.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
I really enjoy giving inspirational readings to all clients especially when it can help people get out of difficult circumstances. That to me is a real sense of achievement. I enjoy the fact that I am able to influence positively the changes that are needed to bring forth peace and happiness in a person’s life, whist giving the understanding necessary for this to happen.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I am a typical Scorpio in many ways. I am very loyal and can be brutally honest. I am also very analytical and like to way situations up as well as people. Also my intuitive nature is my true nature of the person that I am. I’m also very passionate towards all of my undertakings and the things that I believe in. I love people and I love to understand human nature and what makes people tick.
When do you remember first being aware of your gift?
I can remember far back as the age of 5 or 6 years of age that my abilities were becoming present as I was able to know things about certain people/person’s and then tell my parents what I was seeing. This was very strange to my parents because of how young I actually was. I can remember my teens becoming quite difficult for me due to the fact that I was so open an receptive but I lacked the life experience necessary for the comprehension of exactly was going on with me. At that time I thought everybody was the same and that they could see what I was seeing, however this was not the case. This is when I began my journey of self discovery.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
The most memorable experience I ever had was when I was reading for a client via the telephone who completely dismissed more or less everything that I was saying regarding her love life. This lady was also quite upset at the time and began to say that she didn’t believe me, which obviously left me feeling a bit upset after the reading. However, this same lady called me back within the same week and was so apologetic to me for not believing in the previous reading as all of the reading had come true within the week. She also went on to say that I had made a believer in her and hence she became my long term client,
What other experience and qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your readings to the clients?
I have been reading the Tarot cards for the last 15 years. I have had fantastic spiritual teachers in my life who have helped and assisted me on my journey. I have also spent the last 12 years in the area of self help as well as being a holistic therapist. My skills and abilities include Reiki level 1 and 2. Indian head massage. Chakra balancing techniques and Meditation. I am able to interpret dreams and provide psychomotry.
What is the most important thing to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
What I feel is the most important thing to consider when a person chooses to have a psychic reading is empathy and integrity. It’s important to be caring to the client and not tell them anything which would cause any emotional/psychological harm. Most importantly is to be honest and not just tell them what they think they want to here. It’s important for a client to fell uplifted by a reading whereby they can go away after and reflect.
