About Lori

My life has taken many different paths, but one thing that has stayed constant is my passion and connection with Tarot. For more than twenty years I have been an avid practitioner and collector of all thing’s tarot and oracle card-related. I have dipped in and out of conducting professional readings to let bringing up my children and different career choices take precedence. But I have always continued to read for friends and family, and they come back time after time thanking me for the insight and guidance that helps them when we consult the cards. With more time in my life for 'me' and the things I love, it brings me great pleasure to be offering readings again to a wider circle of people. I can't wait to get started and I am looking forward to using my intuitive gift to offer some love and understanding to others' situations.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

I am an intuitive reader, who trusts in the process which makes reading for clients a pleasure. The tarot or oracle cards to me, are a way to give advice based on a current situation or set of circumstances that have unfolded or are unfolding in someone's life. The future is there, but I don't believe it is set in stone. The cards are a wonderful spiritual tool. They uncover what is often hidden beneath the surface. You clear away the fuzz and fluff with a reading and that can make it so much easier for them to make decisions or reassure them. Because all of the picture is suddenly there to see. Leaving people with that clear picture is a good feeling, as well as connecting with them and talking things through.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

I am not a typical Virgo, well not if you go by the textbook sun sign examples of one. I like tidiness, yes, but I am not naturally that tidy! My own cleaner would be nice. Practical and pragmatic, I try. Critical/perfectionist nah, not at all. But I love nature and the outdoors, so that does come through. Security and loyalty matter to me, so that fits. Oh, and I love the fact Virgo is the Goddess of the Zodiac!

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

My grandmother was a bit of a High Priestess, very in tune, very psychic, she saw it in me and my younger sister and introduced us to that world. As I got older, I loved to read and learn about astrology, numerology, and anything ancient or of an esoteric nature. Once versed in the cards, they became my passion. I practiced on myself and my friends initially, and a little later a psychic medium mentored me further. People liked my readings and found them enlightening and helpful, so I thought maybe I have something of use to others here!

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

To be honest memorable experiences abound, but sometimes you build an ongoing tarot-based relationship with clients, and you feel almost part of their life. Experiencing their ups and downs. Giving them options in difficult relationships, family, and financial situations over the years. But there are times you only read for someone once and that can be extremely powerful and profound. A recent memorable experience was with a friend's daughter stands out for me. She had options for different MA placements at different Universities, three in fact. She was torn between them all. With a very tailored reading, it became clear it looked like there was a very definite frontrunner. It turns out, she had known that all along but had not trusted her judgement. She was so happy that this reading had emphasised just how right her judgement had been, she not only accepted the place immediately after my reading, but she emailed to say it had made her so much more confident in trusting herself in general. That pleased me immensely, an added very positive benefit for her as an individual, from just one tarot reading.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I am patient, a good listener, and I like people, all of which I hope complement my work as a reader.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

Readings are a great way of looking at the various signposts in your life, sometimes unbeknownst or a little bit too subtle to have picked up on. You have the power, and the cards are an excellent tool that I use, to empower you, to make decisions, or get some clarity depending on the reason you call. Equally up to you whether you want to take anything from the reading, but it's worth keeping an open mind. At the end of the day, Tarot readings don't replace professional advice. If you need a financial advisor or a relationship counsellor etc. then you still do.
