About Lydia

Hi, my name is Lydia and I’ve been reading Tarot cards for around 24 years. My late husband’s family who were true Romany first introduced me to the art. I work best when asked about a particular situation but can always help if you’d just like an overview of what’s going on for you at the moment. I am an excellent listener, non-judgemental, and a compassionate reader.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

I enjoy being able to offer people peace of mind, guidance and reassurance in situations that otherwise could not be easily resolved.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

Most people that know me would say that I am the typical Libran, all be it one with a temper and a stubborn disposition. Joking aside, I am unbelievably loyal, diplomatic, hospitable and idealistic. The one disadvantage of being Libran is that I can sometimes find it impossible to make personal decisions, which is when I'll utilise the Tarot as a deviation tool.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

After the death of my husband in 96, I was left with only my 2 very small, beautiful children. I turned to my late husband’s Tarot cards; after all, it is what he would have done. I got nothing, and not being the kind of person who gives up, I continued with the cards but to no avail. It wasn't long before I went to see a clairvoyant medium for a reading of my own. The lady was amazing with beautiful messages from several of deceased family members. Then she said one thing that hit me like a brick in my chest. She had a young man with her and the message he wanted her to pass on was simple... 'tell her to buy her on Tarot cards! She will understand.' So that is what I did, all the advice he had ever given me fell into place. It was if the pictures, colours and sometimes smells were telling me stories. Now I share this talent as a deviation tool to help others in need.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

A lady came to see me after being recommended by a friend, the reading was going well, and everything seemed to make sense to her. All of a sudden, I could see a very vivid colour turquoise and feel the loss of a piece of jewellery, I asked J if she had lost a piece of jewellery recently, and I felt that it was sentimental to her. J’s eye's filled with tears as she explained she had lost a bracelet that her late husband had bought her just before he died. I immediately realised what the cards were telling me, and with confidence I reassured J that she would be reunited with the bracelet, and it would be found on or near something coloured turquoise. She left my home, and I don't honestly think she believed she would ever see her beloved bracelet again.

About three months later I went to answer a knock at my door, there she stood with the biggest smile on her face. She had been reunited with her piece of jewellery! She had been taking her grandchild to school when she got chatting to one of her neighbours, as they talked J happened to notice that her neighbour was wearing what looked like her bracelet. She told her friend that she had lost one just like it, to which the neighbour replied, “I found this at the school gates, and I decided to wear it in hope to reunite it with its owner”. Janet was delighted, it then hit her, and her friend was wearing the most beautiful turquoise summer dress.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

Life has thrown at me the most brutal tutor. To say that I have had some desperately heart-breaking periods is an understatement, but I survived. I recovered from a mental breakdown after a series of upsetting and terrifying events. My husband sadly passed away at a very young age, and my children have suffered with medical conditions. I can honestly say that I understand pain, grief, desperation in the most trying of situations. I can offer guidance; I can listen and advise. When people say, "I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel" I say "There is ALWAYS light!”

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

I would ask you to be comfortable- preferably where you won't be disturbed, open minded, and relaxed. Always select the reader that you feel a connection with, your gut instinct is almost always correct.
