About Rachael Black Moon

I was born and raised in California, where my early connection to energy, emotion, and spirit first began to take shape. From a young age, I sensed things beyond the surface—through dreams, feelings, and a strong inner knowing. Over time, that quiet sensitivity became one of my greatest strengths. Some of my most formative spiritual memories come from spending summers with my grandmother in Mt. Shasta, a place known for its mystical energy. She practiced palmistry and mystic work, and being in that environment—watching her, listening, absorbing—planted seeds in me that would grow over time. Even then, I felt the sacredness of that space and those teachings. Later in life, I moved to the UK, where I’ve spent many years building a life rooted in love, healing, and spiritual growth. That journey—from the sun-soaked coast of the U.S. to the winding paths of English countryside living—has deepened my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds, and I approach each reading with openness, warmth, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey. Supporting a close loved one through a major health crisis, navigating life’s challenges, and embracing the emotional complexities of family life have all shaped the way I read. These experiences have taught me the true power of empathy, presence, and resilience. I work with The Golden Tarot, my Spirit Animal deck, as well as Shadow and Compassion oracles, to gently uncover what’s hidden, affirm what’s true, and guide clients toward their most empowered path. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, I’m here to walk beside you—with honesty, clarity, and care.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

First of all, I love helping someone reconnect with their own inner resources—because in my experience, most of life’s struggles come from feeling disconnected from our own power, wisdom, or sense of direction. A good reading gives you something outside of yourself and it reflects what’s already within you, waiting to be seen and remembered. What I love most is being able to offer someone a moment of clarity, comfort, or calm in the middle of confusion or pain. Life can feel overwhelming—especially when we’re facing decisions, heartbreak, or unexpected turns—and sometimes all we need is someone to gently hold space and help us reconnect with our inner truth. I feel deeply honoured every time someone invites me into their story. Through my readings, I help people see things from a higher perspective, uncover their own strength, and remember that they’re never as alone or lost as they might feel. The connection I form with each client is sacred, and it brings me genuine joy to witness those moments when something just clicks—when insight, healing, or even peace washes over them. That’s the magic I live for.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

As a Gemini, I carry a natural curiosity about people, life, and the deeper meaning behind things. I’m a communicator at heart—drawn to connection, conversation, and the layers of truth beneath the surface. I love learning and evolving, and I bring that same energy into my readings. Whether I’m exploring tarot symbolism, interpreting spirit animal messages, or tuning into someone’s energy, I do it with an open mind and a desire to understand. Like many Geminis, I have a versatile spirit—I can hold both the light and the shadow, the joy and the pain. Gemini’s twinship teaches me about balance—about embracing our alter egos, different selves, and the many inner voices that make us whole. This naturally connects to my work with shadow energy, helping clients explore not just who they present to the world, but the hidden or neglected parts of themselves that are asking to be seen and integrated. I move between logic and intuition easily, which makes me a grounded but deeply perceptive guide. And yes, I talk with my hands, laugh a lot, and always have a notebook nearby for my latest idea!

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

I’ve always felt it. Even as a child, I was tuned into people’s emotions, energies, and things that couldn’t be explained. I grew up in a large, complex, and often unstable family, and we moved around a lot. In that kind of environment, being able to sense when a shift was coming—when the energy in a room changed or a dynamic was about to turn—became essential. Even though I was one of many, I was often the one who could quietly see what was really going on beneath the surface, which helped me navigate life more calmly than those around me. I didn’t have a name for it back then—or now..Ha! I just knew I saw and felt the world a little differently. For most of my life, I found ways to support others through empathy, creativity, and instinct. But it wasn’t until I discovered The Golden Tarot in a quiet little bookshop that something clicked. I remember picking it up and feeling an almost electric sense of recognition, like I was meeting an old friend. That deck opened a door for me—it gave form to what I had always felt, and it became a powerful way to help others find clarity, healing, and direction.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

While I always protect the privacy of my clients, one of my most memorable experiences was actually one of my very first readings—with a close friend who wasn’t sure what to expect from tarot. She’d never had a reading before and was a little unsure, but open. As the cards unfolded, something very real came to the surface—something she hadn’t spoken about out loud, even to herself. It turned into an emotional moment for her—she shed some tears, and I held space for that release. About a month later, I checked in to see how she was doing. She told me that her happiness and overall quality of life had improved so much since that reading. She said hearing those truths spoken out loud—and allowing herself to feel them—had helped her face what she’d been holding inside, and it created a shift. It was the first of many moments where I witnessed clients gently reaching a place where they could finally articulate feelings they once kept buried, and begin to integrate parts of themselves they had long avoided. In those moments, I feel like a quiet guide helping them connect to their shadow self—not in fear, but in compassion and clarity. That experience showed me how powerful tarot can be as a mirror and a healing tool. It also gave me the nudge I needed to keep going—to offer this gift to others and trust that it really could make a difference.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

Much of what I bring to my readings comes from lived experience. I’ve walked through grief, healing, personal transformation, and deep emotional challenges—not just as an observer, but as someone who’s been in the thick of it. I’ve supported a loved one through serious health struggles, and I’ve held space for others during times of uncertainty, change, and awakening. Earlier in life, I worked as a criminal law paralegal, where I would take statements from clients in settings ranging from their living rooms to maximum-security prisons. That experience taught me how to speak with people from all walks of life, to listen without judgment, and to create calm and trust in emotionally charged moments. It helped me develop a strong sense of presence—and an ability to hold space no matter what someone is going through. These life experiences have helped me become more grounded, more compassionate, and more intuitive. They’ve taught me how to really listen—not just to people, but to energy, symbols, and the subtle truths that rise to the surface during a reading. Alongside this, I’ve spent years developing my intuitive practice through daily work with The Golden Tarot, my Spirit Animal oracle, and supportive tools like my Shadow and Compassion decks. I also draw on spiritual reflection, symbolism, and energy awareness in every reading. People often tell me they feel safe, seen, and understood in my presence—which, to me, is just as meaningful as any formal training.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

The most important thing is to come with an open heart and an open mind. A psychic reading isn’t about being told what to do or hearing a fixed future—it’s about gaining clarity, perspective, and guidance that can empower you to make conscious choices. The cards, symbols, and energy work together to reveal what’s already present beneath the surface. It’s also important to be honest with yourself—about what you’re ready to hear, and what you're truly seeking. Sometimes the messages are gentle, sometimes they challenge us—but they’re always meant to support our highest good. If you’re even thinking about getting a reading, there’s likely a reason. Something within you is already guiding you to reach out—and that inner nudge is worth trusting. Maybe this is something you’ve wanted to do for a long time. You deserve it. You deserve to know yourself more deeply, to be seen, and to have a space where your questions, feelings, and experiences are honoured. A reading can be a deeply healing experience if you’re willing to engage with it, not just as a set of predictions, but as a sacred conversation with your soul.
