About Inner Radiance
I have always been drawn to the world of spirit and supernatural and could sense the invisible dimensions around me from early childhood, even though my strict Catholic upbringing forbade exploring any of those phenomena while I was growing up. I also had many experiences of Deja vu, knowing how things would turn out before they even happened and many colourful dreams of living in cultures and countries I had never been exposed to before, which I now know were likely past life memories. My interest in the paranormal phenomena and the world of spirit was initially fuelled by an enormous fear of death in childhood, which was what prompted me to investigate and learn about reincarnation, read accounts of people who experienced clinical death and came back to life, as well as explore various holistic methods of looking after my mind and body in ways which would help me live as long and happy life as possible. The turning point as far as fear of death goes was a near drowning experience I had at 11, after having jumped in the sea to help a younger child who was struggling and then getting in trouble myself. After the initial struggle to hold on to the slippery groins and going under the water a few times, I experienced a very surprising and strong sense of acceptance that my short life was likely going to end in a moment. But I was actually okay about it, as I felt that I was being held by a loving angelic-like presence, which would be there for me no matter what happened next. As you can see from this testimony, I lived to tell the story and used this experience as something to remember and hold on to in some of the darkest moments on my life that I experienced over the years. Not from the point of view of naïve optimism that my life will always unfold like a fairy tale, but from the lived remembrance that we are never truly alone and that help and guidance are available to us, sometimes from the most unexpected places, if we have the courage, the wisdom and often also the humility to ask for and accept it. I was previously married to someone who was very psychic for 20 years and it was during that time that my own intuitive gifts became a lot more evident in the last 20 years, as being with a partner who encouraged my spiritual development helped me to embrace that part of myself without fear of ridicule or being shunned for expressing myself. Over the years that followed, I explored and trained in Christ consciousness energy healing, became an angel card reader after training with Kyle Gray and even channelled my own deck of coaching cards 3 years ago, which I often use in conjunction with angel card guidance and other intuitive insights I get. I draw a lot of inspiration and wisdom that I use in both my own life and work from a strong connection with my family’s healing lineage, and particularly a self-taught herbalist great-grandfather, whose story encouraged me to pursue a career in holistic health and coaching as a way of contributing to the healing and betterment of humanity.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
My favourite part of doing readings for others is probably best expressed by the following beautiful quote from Maya Angelou: "Be the rainbow in somebody else's cloud." In the modern world that is often so focused on negativity and fear, I feel that many of us lost our innate ability to feel joy, be connected to others, as well as trust and love ourselves at a very deep level. Having in the past experienced and then healed from some very profound and challenging dark nights of the soul myself, such as betrayal and divorce, parental alienation, as well as depression and severe chronic fatigue, I feel my mission in life is reminding and encouraging those who are struggling or lost their way not to lose hope while going through various inevitable life challenges. And I use both the information from the angel cards, as well as my own intuition, to tap into the guidance that feels most aligned for the person I am speaking with at that particular time.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I was born close to the cusp of Scorpio and Sagittarius and because of that possess some of the characteristics of both of those zodiac signs, with my astrological charts actually pointing to predominance of Sagittarian and Piscean influences. Typically for a Scorpio, I am very inquisitive, fascinated in paranormal and anything to do with spirituality, a lifelong learner, an enthusiastic sharer of my knowledge with others and someone who feels things very deeply - including both my own, as well other people's emotions. As far as Sagittarian influences are concerned, they probably account for my love of people and travel, learning about and experiencing other cultures, foods and traditions and a never-ending quest for experiencing as much joy and lightness in life as possible.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I first became fully aware of my gift around 17-18 years ago, when I was on a weekend kinesiology training course in an old building in Rye in Kent that used to be a monastery and spontaneously started picking up things from other participants and the environment itself which I wouldn't be able to find out by using just 5 senses alone. I was initially confused about it all, as never thought of myself as someone who was that way inclined and was convinced the only person in my family who had that gift was my ex-husband. Luckily for me, another course participant, who was a psychic artist, explained to me what was likely happening and encouraged me to join either a psychic or a healing development circle, which I did on return home.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
I can't think of any specific people or situations that come to mind. However, I observed over the years of doing angel card readings at charitable events, as well as for my family and friends, that the cards I draw will often align with the intuitive guidance that I would have already given that person while chatting to them about their problem or question beforehand, thus confirming that my intuition was on point. On other occasions, the cards will often point to actions, thought patterns and behaviours clients are aware of and in the process of trying to implement, or just about to start tackling, which is a really useful confirmation that their own intuition has already started guiding them towards best outcomes for their lives. As I mentioned in one of previous sections, I frequently use my own channelled deck of coaching cards to finish off angel card readings and have had many clients feeling absolutely amazed about how often the guidance from my cards is closely related or sometimes even identical to what the angel cards would have highlighted. But when you consider that the original meaning of the Latin word "angelus" was just a "messenger", perhaps it is not that surprising after all.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
I am a qualified and practicing naturopathic nutritionist of 20 years, a health coach trained in a few different mind body approaches, as well as a mindfulness facilitator and a trained (but not certified) counsellor using the framework of individual psychology developed by Alfred Adler. I also trained as a Freedom program facilitator and enjoyed using that knowledge over the years to guide vulnerable women away from situations that might result in harm coming to them or their families through coercive control and other abusive situations. I have 20 years of experience of working as an interpreter for a variety of public service institutions, including NHS, mental health and counselling services and had many opportunities to practice non-judgemental and compassionate communication and non-violent conflict resolution in the process of doing that work too.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
Not coming for a reading when your emotions are running really high and you are very triggered, as that might impede your ability to ask for and receive clear guidance from your reader. And that's not to say that you are not to seek help in a crisis, but a reminder to take a few minutes before you dial the number to ground yourself through a bit of deep breathing, having a calming cup of tea or a snack you enjoy, or maybe even writing down the worries in your head on paper for more clarity later on.
