I grew up in a household where tarot cards were more common than playing cards and let’s face it, they are far more interesting! I played with the cards, studied them and fell in love with them before I even knew their true purpose. I still have the same deck of Tarot cards I had when I was a child and that was a long time ago. I am a strong believer in personal magic and manifestation. I have used magic for good without ever really knowing how or why, when something comes as naturally to you as breathing it’s a sure sign you are doing what you’re meant to be doing.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

Helping people find the clarity and purpose they need to move forward.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

I am very balanced, but don’t do well with meaningless and trivial conversation, instead desiring the deep and meaningful side of people. I am very honest, often to a fault and fair. I love nice and pretty things; I mean who doesn’t? But, with Venus as my ruler, beauty is of more importance to a Libra than the other signs.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

My mother relayed a story to me many years after the event, but I don’t recall it. My mother owned ‘The Crying Boy’ a framed print which was mass produced in the 1970’s/80’s until 1985 when the tabloid newspapers linked the images to causing bad luck namely, house fires. My mother took hers down and popped it in our pantry where the household crockery was kept. Apparently, I informed her that ‘my friend John’ said she needed to take it out of the pantry because he didn’t like it. My mother decided to ignore the advice and the next day found all of the crockery smashed in the centre of the pantry. She told me when she relayed the story in my teen years that I was different and she knew it since that day. Even though she follows no path of her own in terms of psychic development or the craft, she has always encouraged me on my journey, instinctively knowing it is the path I should follow.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

A six-card spread entirely of the suit of Pentacles. It was apparent there was lots spinning around regard money and careers and the cards guided me well. It turned out the lady wanted to retire early but also didn’t want to give up the lifestyle her salary afforded her. Sometimes, we need to have difficult conversations with people who desire the impossible but ultimately need to be guided toward possible sacrifices and solutions. It takes skill and diplomacy to enable sitters to think outside of the box and explore all the avenues and I certainly needed that on the day! As silly as it seems, I really helped her to see the truth and help her toward a choice of new goals.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

Aside from having over 25 years of experience reading tarot utilising both traditional card meaning and intuition I have a Diploma in Tarot Reading, also. My intuition is strong and aids me through daily life, I have a really handy knack of knowing when something is about to happen or when a person needs to be guided in a certain direction, the cards are an extension of my excellent senses.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

People are often led to believe that they shouldn’t provide the reader with any information whatsoever. Of course, it’s not necessary if you would rather not, but if you have a question about a certain area of your life or need guidance from the cards on which path to take your interaction with the reader will enrich your experience and outcomes.
