My name is Jonathan and I'm semi-retired and a full-time carer. My professional background is in I.T., publishing and hypnotherapy. I have been reading tarot, Leonormand and Kipper cards for 40+ years having been aware of a calling to the mystical from a very young age. I was an editor of a national computer magazine aged 28, so from one perspective I peaked too early! However had I not left that job I would never have ended up living in an Elizabethan manor house that was festooned with spirits. That was a real eye-opener and introduced me to the spirit guides that I still work with to this day. I have travelled the world lecturing and broadcasting and have now settled down in a nice, though rather damp, part of the world. I very much look forward to hearing from you.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

It is wonderful when a reading leads a client to a place of peace and closure. I always hope that every reading will leave you calm and confident, looking forward to your future. But never forget to enjoy the journey no matter how stormy it may sometimes get!

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

I am a Capricorn with Pluto rising. This combination gives me some insight into the unconscious, the hidden and the supernatural. True to my sun sign I can be stubborn and materialistic, but I like to think I can be loyal and steadfast too.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

As a very young child I would see legions of ghosts marching through my parents bedroom. A little later I realised I must have an interest in the paranormal as I would spend many an afternoon at the local library pouring through books about Borley Rectory and similar subjects. Aged about ten I started randomly drawing magical sigils, having no idea what they were (later verified as known spirit signatures) . I was a little disappointed when a photo I sent to the Psychical Research Society of an apparent ghost turned out to be merely markings on an old church wall but my hunger for the occult was never satisfied. Later on came the spirit guides (some of which I still work with to this day).

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

One precious memory comes to mind. A lady came to see me with the hope of contacting her departed mother. During the course of subsequent session she reported a sequence of dreams in which her mother appeared, each time a little younger than the last. At the final dream her mother appeared as a little girl with the lady herself becoming her mother. They parted after love and understanding exchanged. As the lady was recalling the last dream she physically transmogrified into the image of her mother. It was something I had never seen before, and I was humbled by the experience.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

In the 1990's I studied under Neil French with the International Association of Hypno-analysts and am a practising Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. I hold a British university degree in Applied Psychology and and one of only a few Doctorate's in Metaphysics. I have lectured both in the UK and the US and have broadcast on Sunshine Radio. Also in the 1990's I studied via the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) and have a wide experience of the western magical tradition including its practical application. I remain a member of a number of fraternal occult orders. My scope reaches from renaissance magic to the latest developments in quantum mind-brain technology. I have a particular interest in Robert Monroe and the “Out Of Body” (OOB) phenomenon.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

Above all to keep an open mind and try not to prejudge the outcome. Sometimes you may get a lot of information quickly. I think of the tarot in particular as an event-seeking missile. Sometimes this information may be unexpected or left of field, but it is always of value.
