Hello! My name is Liz and I have a number of years of experience as a clairsentient and tarot reader. This means although I do use the Tarot cards to help me focus on the client's issues I tend to use my 'senses' to tune in to people rather than 'see' or 'hear' spirit. In addition to the Tarot I also use Native American Medicine cards which I love as they guide me to a person's characteristics, talents and abilities. Pretty much like guardian angels, Native Americans believe that each person is given 9 animals that walk with them throughout their earthly existence and when I use them I find them to be very accurate.
I am genuine, possessing a positive attitude, a warm, empathic and non-judgemental nature and a healthy sense of humour! My parents taught me to always treat others with respect, irrespective of where they have come from because you never know what's happened to them to bring them to their current situation. This advice has stood me in good stead over the years and has never failed me. They also taught me to have integrity in my dealings with others and if you choose me to read for you, you can be assured that you will get an honest reading which will guide you and leave you feeling positive about the future.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
The thing I love the most about reading for clients is knowing that I'm helping someone through what could be a difficult period in their lives. I'm quite a positive person and believe that nothing, no matter how bad, will last forever but I understand that when someone is going through a tough time it's not always easy to see the end of it. Providing hope for the future and assurance that all will be well is one of the great things about reading for others. Sometimes when people come for a reading all they want to know is 'will everything be ok' and really the simple answer is 'yes it will'. There may be one or two hurdles on the way but I'm a firm believer that if we do our absolute best then whatever the outcome it will be the right one for them.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
Well, I'm an Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac and in some ways I am typical. I like to be independent and free to follow my own path. I don't really like being told what to do and I prefer being in charge rather than a follower, in other words I like to be in control. Petty little things are most likely to irritate me as opposed to the big things which I tend to let go because I don't see them as being important enough to worry about. I have been known to have quite a fiery temper but funnily enough when I'm having one of my 'rants' no-one need be concerned...it's when I go quiet it's time to think 'oh oh' :)
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I can recall my paternal grandmother proudly announcing to all and sundry that I had the 'gift' as she called it and was psychic. However, I was only about 9 at the time so needless to say I wasn't exactly encouraged to understand or use it. It was only when I was in my early 20's that I became aware of it. It happened when I was on a training course for a job I'd applied for and there was a man on another training event who asked to join our group one evening. Now this chap was about 6'5 and almost as wide so was not the kind of man you would laugh at! As we were sitting there enjoying a drink and conversation I suddenly had an image 'pop' into my head of what I could see him doing if he wasn't in his current profession and started to smirk at him which he wasn't too pleased about it until I told him. Basically I had 'seen' him dressed in a check shirt, jeans, braces, woollen hat, big boots and socks and the comic song from Monty Python 'I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok..' had drifted into my head. He asked me if I was psychic as before he had come into his present job he had been working for a Forestry Commission and in essence had been employed as a lumberjack!! After that I was convinced that maybe my dear old Nan had been right after all!!
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
Many years ago I had a small unit in a local antique and collectors outlet from where I did my readings. One Sunday an elderly lady came in and I used psychometry as a means of tuning in to her. I immediately felt a woman's presence and the name Alice came to my mind but I admitted I was confused as to the link as I felt I wanted to say she was coming through on a 'mother and sister' vibration. I then told my client that Alice was saying she was alright and there was no need to worry about her anymore and to say 'thank you' for the tulips. In return she was giving my client a bunch of magenta coloured ones as they were her favourite. I said few more things before closing the reading after which she told me who Alice was...Alice was her older sister and had been buried two days previously. However, when their mother had died Alice had taken on the role of 'mother' so had in fact been both sister and mother to my client. She placed tulips on her grave as they had been her sister's favourite flower and the colour...magenta.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
Over the years I have been lucky to have worked closely with people and can strike up a conversation very easily and establish a rapport with someone so I'm good at being able to put people at ease. I have sat in development circles over the years and have given private readings to a number of people. Although I haven't any recognised qualifications in mediumship I feel overall it’s my life experience that people most appreciate. That and the fact that I can generate a feeling of trust which I believe is really important
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
Well, I've alluded to this already..I think when someone is deciding whether or not to have a psychic reading they need to feel they can trust the reader to be honest with them and listen to what they have to say. They want to know that their questions can be answered but if this is not possible for whatever reason then they need to be re-directed to another reader...it is their money they are spending and they want to have value for it. A client needs to feel completely at ease with the reader and confident that their issues are being dealt with properly without dragging it out...again think of the cost. I think a client is far more likely to return to use the service if they've had a good experience and one that's been delivered in a genuine way.
