Hi, my name is Rainy Day Karen and I am really looking forward to reading for you today!
I come from a straight talking, big hearted coal mining community in Yorkshire. I grew up a single child and moved to London in my teens, where I studied psychology; I love the art and culture of the capital and worked as an au pair there for several wonderful families. After many years away, I returned to Yorkshire where I got married and had my son; sadly my mother died just before I became a mother myself. I love rural living and have spent around a decade here working with local homeless teenagers in crisis. I am committed to my own spiritual and personal development and I am an avid reader and a budding writer, with an interest in arts and crafts and the environment.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
I like communicating with clients around deep and meaningful issues and enjoy connecting with new and returning clients to offer them support and guidance at a time of uncertainty. I love using meditation and mindfulness to connect with Mother Earth and Gaia spirit myself and I relish the opportunity to bring forth those wisdoms and grounding energies for the benefit of my clients, with the ultimate aim to help my clients to reconnect to their own intuitive gifts and find their inner voice.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I am a Sagittarius and so I am very outgoing and love connecting with a wide variety of people. I am one of those people that will chat to you at the bus stop and in the supermarket queue! As a fire sign, I enjoy spontaneity and I have a great sense of humour and love of fun. I often get told that I am too blunt but all my friends know if they want an honest answer about anything at all they can always come to me! Like most Sagitarrius, I am a loving, warm hearted and open-minded person. I am curious, some would say nosey and love to spend time being creative; I attend art classes every week and visit galleries. I also enjoy writing poetry and am currently studying a creative writing course.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I was a bit of a Wednesday Adams as a child – I was drawn to ghost stories, the scarier the better and I had a strong interest in death and the underworld! Those affinities got lost along the way and it was just over a decade ago when my connection with the spirit world was reignited. My marriage had recently ended acrimoniously and my infant son and I were both housebound, suffering from an awful bug. Feeling so low and lost, I suddenly felt an intensely warm and powerful presence around me – I knew instantly it was my mum. My mum was always there for me as a child when I was ill and I had struggled to accept what my family had insisted when she died, that she had really gone and left me – at last I knew that she never had! My mum guided me back to the psychic realm and her continued presence provides spiritual solutions in my life and supports my work.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
As part of the process of reawakening my sixth sense, I attended an extensive course with a world-renowned psychic; I read for a lady I had never met before and knew nothing about. I picked up a strong connection between the earrings she was wearing and her pen – she had bought both on a recent trip to the USA! I also received a clear picture of a map of Britain in which Scotland was lit up; highlighting a serious discussion she’d had with her husband about relocating there. When the course had finished I met up with a friend at a train station cafe and a man, overheard me talking, and asked if I could connect to him. I accurately described his job and work environment and picked up on a strong love connection there. He was excited by that as he was interested in someone at work and said that my reading had given him the courage and conviction to ask her out!
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
Because I was an only child and my parents were emotionally distant I developed a strong connection with my own intuition and allowed my inner compass to guide me. Being a graduate of psychology is definitely useful in my work as a reader. Following the death of my father and a difficult divorce I sought out a person centred therapist for my own journey and also studied art therapy which has given me an understanding of how it feels to be a client and to be in a vulnerable space, needing support and clarity. I am well practiced in maintaining a calm, serene inner state from my work with teenagers in crisis and from my personal meditation practice and I am a lifelong empath.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
I like to establish a spiritual connection using very visual cards first and then move into a more free flowing psychic reading. Clients really need to be open to self-reflection and while you might be looking outwardly for the answers, which I hope I will be able to provide, I feel it is important to be curious about your own inner journey at the same time. Readings can powerful and moving and so it’s also crucial to practice self-compassion and to be gentle with yourself and your emotions both during and after a reading.
Had a few readings with Karen now - felt really safe and cared for. Found her highly intuitive and not afraid to say things as she sees it. A reading with Karen is really fun and super helpful. Spot on - you were right about KC!!! love Raqxx
Very good reading. Picked up lots of aspects of my life & gave realistic predictions. No questions asked, just straight into reading. Definitely recommend a reading .
Had a reading today with Karen, she provided very detailed validations delivered with great care and in a non-judgmental manner. Was shocked by the accuracy of her reading, no questions were asked, no opinions or unwanted advice provided, just questions answered. She provided an accurate description of the person of interest, past, present and the future. Absolutely brilliant! Thank you very much Karen, will definitely come back for another reading. xx
