About Liz B

Hi, I think the more I learnt about myself and understood my choices, patterns and habits the more I found I could help my clients. With experience comes wisdom and boy have I got into some scrapes! As a child I was bought up having pretty much all 'well meaning' choices made for me. To the effect that by my late teens I didn't know how to choose anything really, I didn't trust myself. My career was decided for me. I became a dentist. I was good at the job but totally unfulfilled, held years of resentment, no amount of mantras or gratitude lists worked to cheer me as I didn't really believe them. I have learnt that everyone has their own path, needs freedom to choose and exercise their free will. Life has also taught me compassion, non-judgement, empathy, patience and perseverance. Sometimes we get it wrong but there is always something to learn from that. Nobody is perfect and nor should we be. I believe we are never alone, I always was aware of what I understand now as being my higher self, of unseen helpers be that spirit guides, angels or ancestors, felt them and heard them, now I expand that into Galactic helpers and draw on the essence and attributes of Deities and Ascended Masters. I love reading and perhaps my first heroes were Wayne Dyer and Betty Shine, bringing spirituality and healing into my world. I've had 2 divorces (wish I had actually looked at red flags), became a single mum, maintaining a loving, ever evolving closeness to my daughter, of which I am immensely proud. I have always had animals around me and a great love for nature. Dowsing with pendulums has also been pivotal to me, I love working with them. I once made a decision to leave a job sat in my car using a paperclip on a strand of hair! Turned out it was the right decision, always amazes me how these things work! I am glad 3 years ago an opportunity arose and I ignored everyone's good advice and did what was right for me, to finally end that career. I concentrated on me, learnt further healing modalities and observing the cycles of nature, the seasons and the moon phases, creating ceremonies and working on myself with Intention Candles. This has helped heal my past and has led me to a more balanced and intuitive lifestyle, understanding of my needs and this is why I am now ready to work with a larger audience and help empower others towards their best life.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

I love inspiring, supporting and lifting people up, being a sympathetic ear or kick starting and motivating them into a new way of life. To me, tarot reveals our potential, paths, perceived obstacles or unexpected wonders. It gives us a way to progress and learn in life. Acknowledge our skills and proceed forwards stronger with consideration. It shows a picture of potential and helps you to navigate life to your fullest ability. Change in life is inevitable, and I love the way tarot reflects this and creates a story to add to your inner knowing and truth. You may not always know where you want to go but I'm sure we can all think of where or with whom we don't want to be! This gives you direction. Reflecting, moving forwards out of stagnation, building self-confidence and creating boundaries to protect your growth. However small or crazily big your goal, move with utter conviction and release the baggage and self-imposed constraints, harness your strengths, acknowledge your fears. The next steps may not be perfect and will require some effort but they will be in the right direction. Empowering people gives me so much joy. Why not be a Magician or an Emperor, with the hidden intuition and strength of a High Priestess? Life is too short to play it small.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

I am a Sagittarius, so very enthusiastic, fun and positive. I'm very passionate and love living life to the full. I love exploring philosophy and do not judge people. My moon is in Gemini so I'm very mentally stimulated and good at conversation, seeing things from lots of points of views and love to learn. I have Virgo rising so make an excellent healer, I'm very caring and practical. These 3 signs are all mutable, meaning I'm adaptable. I love learning, problem solving and putting my own unique slant on things.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

I have always been an empath, from quite a lively household growing up I quickly learnt to read the energy in a room and use my humour to diffuse things. I could and have always felt others’ emotions deeply as if they were my own. Particularly at work dealing with stressed people, I realised quickly I was drained a lot more so than my colleagues and learnt the merits of grounding, protecting and clearing my own energy. This was a game changer. I was a busy, single mum so I created my own way of doing this. Although I understood the basics, I simply didn't have time nor interest on cold, wet mornings, so I realised even 10 seconds in a traffic jam was enough for me to ground. Sometimes a blast of loud music on the motorway was enough to clear and visualise me energised and protected. I learnt about energy systems, Reiki healing, Chakra balancing. I called in Angels for anxious patients and when I walked around the room there would always be a muffled jangle from the crystals in my pockets, these were for grounding, love and healing. I believe they worked for me and those around me. I was introduced by 'accident' to tarot in the mid-90s and once I had my own deck I couldn't put it down. The shuffling soothed me, the cards created a story in my mind, and I just loved using them. From being a child, I had my unseen spirit friend, John. As I have developed, I have had several different guides, I love working with the Egyptian pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, harnessing their strengths and attributes for my own and for my clients spiritual progression.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

I once read for a lady in her 30s who was convinced, she was unlucky in love, that every man she went after it ended badly. Her friends were all settling. She went out a lot to meet men, but everything just quickly fizzled out. It was just the way it was. She was frustrated and angry. I saw in the cards that she was rushing without nurturing herself, boundaries non-existent then too high, she was too eager to please then dissatisfied and upset. So much raw energy, no wonder she was exhausted. I saw she would likely soon meet someone who was very loyal, loving and trustworthy and it would be up to her to explore it or not. As I worked with her, Goddess Hathor came through, so I suggested learning to relax, positive self-talk, being more receptive to a peaceful, happy life with or without a partner and gently ease into the next potential partner when they came along. To let him do the initial running and for her to focus on herself and what she would like from life and from a partner. This wasn't her usual stance and seemed to irritate her, but she said she was willing to give it a go. I won’t pretend, I was disheartened and unsure she would take any advice, but I knew she was an incredibly strong woman, and I sent her a lot of healing. About 10 months later I heard from her that she had given up, put the idea of a man on hold, joined a netball team which she loved and had met a fellow players brother who lived quite far off and gradually they had got closer through the social group and love of sport. He was in the process of moving job to be closer to her and she was thrilled. She had a great friendship with him and was much happier with her life. A different focus, a change of attitude and a learning to love herself first. It was so lovely to see the change in herself as well as the blossoming relationship. Very rewarding.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I have read tarot for 34 years and enjoy pendulum dowsing, 20years Reiki Master, Seichem Reiki level 2, Animal Reiki diploma, Crystal Healing diploma, Ceremony and Ritual diploma, attended Spiritualist Church for psychic development for12 years. I believe distance healing is a wonderful addition to follow up any reading, it empowers and seals in positive new ideas and soothes the soul. I blend Reiki with Intention Candles for this purpose. I have a great love for nature and all animals; I absolutely love giving healing to sick animals. At their end of life, energy healing helps both their humans and other animals in the family for smooth transition and peace. I believe focused intention and hands on healing is a power we all have and our animal and plant friends shouldn't miss out.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

I think everybody has different reasons for choosing a psychic reading. Some will have a burning question, others feel lost and confused, in love, in grief or at major turning points in their life. Tarot opens up new ways of looking at situations, possibilities and offers fresh hope to align yourself with your best life. Knowing yourself better and making empowered choices and feeling supported and uplifted is my aim. So having an open mind and compassion for yourself and the situation is important. We are never alone in this life, help and support mentally, physically and spiritually are always there, sometimes you just need to relax, ask and to believe in love and magic.
