After many years of studying tarot and astrology I want to reach people on a wider scale to share my knowledge and love of the cards and stars. I realised some time ago I had a connection with tarot; my intuition naturally guides me to interpreting the cards into everyday language and situations. I began with studying astrology and at fifteen years of age I could compile intricate astrological charts. I then followed on to studying tarot cards and my tutor told me I was a ' natural'. Tarot has guided me personally through many questions and turning points in my life and I would be lost without them. The support and advice I have gained from them is invaluable.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

Tarot cards and the stars have a significant impact on lives whether people are aware of this or not and many gain comfort, reassurance and confidence from a reading. This is what I want to give other people, the guidance the cards offer to help them resolve and find a way to move forward in a positive way in their lives. It gives me great joy to hear people's voices lift and sound lighter and happier by the end of a reading, even if a little bad news is involved negatives can also turn into positives, the cards cannot tell you what to do but they can guide and steer towards a better outcome. I feel it is a privilege to be permitted to have a small window into other people's concerns, worries and lives just for a short time and it is a very rewarding to experience to have their gratitude and trust in return. This is why I enjoy giving readings I think in a small way I am helping people.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

As a Gemini I love talking, communication is my thing. I have a sharp mind and can turn my attention to many subjects as I am genuinely interested in what is happening around me and people. Geminis are caring, compassionate and creative. This helps me to understand different scenarios, different backgrounds and empathise without bias. My creativity allows me to see beyond the first impression of a person and situation, as a Gemini I have a good sense of humour which I believe is very useful when speaking to people.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

When I was very young, around ten years old. I have always had an interest in tarot and astrology and as I was growing up, I thought everyone was the same until it occurred to me that was not the case. That is another reason I want to do this; it is a useful tool to have and can only help people.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

A reading I carried out several years ago now was a particularly difficult one in that I had to impart some negative points but of course in a diplomatic way. It was also tricky as the lady I was reading to is my best friend (and still is), my friend Helen. At the time everything was working out for her and rosy in the garden. She was taking early retirement and aiming to move away to be closer to her grown up daughters. The cards indicated there could be some heartache ahead. Although the cards saw some great times ahead this was far into the future, the immediate future was not so good. The advice from the cards was that my friend would be needed on an emotional level she had never known before, at the time neither of us could make this out as everything was so good. Shortly after moving one of Helen's daughters experienced a severe health condition, she had never been seriously ill before, it was all hands-on deck to help her recover for the next two years. Glad to report that time has passed now, and her daughter is happy and healthy and since started a family, Helen has settled into her new life and enjoying every minute, but we do refer to that time and she believes that the cards warned her and gave her strength to get her through it and the good times ahead are here.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I have read Angel cards and can put together astrological charts. All these things are connected. I enjoy looking at other people's work in this area and have attended venues in the past that offer readings. I am also interested in learning about crystals and their influence on our world.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

They need to be confident and open with their reasons for wanting a reading. It is not to be taken lightly or made fun of and it is important for mutual respect to be conducted between the reader and client. The client needs to be aware the cards cannot tell them what to do they are a guide and can advise and must approach the reading with an open mind to have the optimum experience.
