Tarot Intuitive Empath
I've always had an interest in magic and mysticism from being a young girl. As I have grown older I have moved more towards nature and I am an eclectic Pagan. I like the freedom this brings. I am eclectic in that I follow my own path, I do my own thing. My beliefs centre on a love of nature, the earth, sun and moon. Imagery that falls within Tarot as the suits are aligned with the elements. Being a lover of nature and an empath also means that I am open to energy from the earth; I can feel the energy in living things, trees especially. I also feel the essence of people that have gone and the imprint this has on places and objects. I think all these elements within myself help me to guide people when I read for them.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
I love helping people and I like that the client takes something away that they can use to empower themselves. A feeling that they are in charge of their own destiny. When you start talking to someone and you can sense the hurt and anguish as an empath it's overwhelming but at the end when you can hear the relief in their voice, there's calmness it makes my chosen path worth while
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
As a Taurean yes I would say I am mostly typical. I am emotionally strong and embrace a challenge but love the quiet me time to unwind. I am fiercely independent and a bit of a loner but loyal to my friends and family. You wouldn't think I was naturally introverted as I will take charge but I do need the alone time. This is also part of being an empath, time to your own thoughts and feelings, to clear my head after being around other people and their emotions. The artistic side of the Taurean is definitely me and I embrace many creative forms of expression from playing instruments to designing abstract clothes and needlework; many creative outlets. I like to think I am genuine and I definitely have a temper although I am controlled and tend to silently brood, that's the passive-aggressive side of my sign. I am very practical and being an earth sign I am never happier than when I am outside growing thing and nurturing.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
When I was young, about 8 or 9. I could sense there was something in the house where I lived, something watching that wasn't very happy. Strange things happened and I found out later that there was the spirit of an elderly lady living with us. She wasn't particularly malicious, she threw the bedclothes off sometimes and it made me afraid of the dark because I didn't understand. That was when I started to realise I was different to the rest of my family as I could sense things. As I have got older I have noticed things more, people are drawn to me, strangers will tell me their life story. I can walk into a place, a room for the first time and feel its past; sometimes the emotions I get from a place are so intense I have to leave. I get the same feelings with people, reading their emotions, their presence can tell me a lot about them.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
I think that there is uniqueness in every client and I take something from every reading I do. Occasionally though there is that one client that resonates, you are so in tune with that everything you tell them rings true for them. I had a new client like that recently. I think because you know so little about them they have that bit of scepticism about what you can tell them. When you start and the reading unfolds so accurately the look on the face and their quietness speaks volumes.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
My abilities as an intuitive empath have developed over many years and as I have become older they have certainly become more acute. I came to Tarot about 5 years ago although I have been drawn to the cards for many more years than that. I felt that I was being drawn more to it and started looking into Tarot eventually reading for friends. I find that I can feel the cards and the imagery, it's telling me in a sense a story but a very specific story and it's never the same. I decided to gain accreditation for Tarot reading, more for myself, I suppose I wanted to show to myself that I did have insight and I wasn't imagining it. I am now a professional Tarot reader. I think being an intuitive empath gives me openness to the message that the cards have for the client and more of a sense of what the client wants to know.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
To me a client should be open minded both to the experience and to their own free will. The readings are only a guide and there to help make things clearer for them. It is a person’s own choices that can change their destiny, the cards can be an indication but it isn't written in stone. A reading is like starting a new job, you go in open minded, with reasonable expectations and willing to give and take. As time progresses you have a better idea of what you need to do and if you need to change something to get a certain outcome. As the reader I see myself as a guide to the clients wanting to explore what life may hold for them. They are the ones in control of their destiny,
