My responsibility as a reader is to accurately predict upcoming connections, and by your own confirmation my prediction was entirely correct: you did meet both men. However, once a connection is made it is outside of my control if these individuals then choose to 'ghost' you as you stated happened on your feedback. Once a connection is made, there is a personal responsibility on your side to communicate well and do the work required to make a relationship successful.
