Letting go of fear
Nothing can become of fearful thoughts unless you emotionalise them. Every tiny little thought you think throughout the day is stored in the back of the subconscious mind. Imagine your mind is a theatre stage – you are creating your own play. If you think happy thoughts then you will be able to deal with dramas far more easily than what you would if you were thinking negative thoughts.
It’s actually very hard to think happy thoughts all the time, but you can fool your mind!
Think of your fear as a bully – an intimidating, domineering bully. Bullies don’t like to be held up in the light, they don’t like to be noticed because they subconsciously know they are in the wrong.
The next time you think a negative thought try highlighting it in gold in your mind’s eye. Keep seeing that piercing golden light until eventually it just diminishes into nothing. We are afraid of the dark because it is unknown but as soon as we shed light we see things clearly and begin to realise, that actually, the darkness was nothing to be afraid of!
Here is an affirmation by Lousie Hay to keep you positive for the day:
“It’s only a thought and a thought ca be changed. I am not limited by any past thinking. I choose my thoughts with care. I constantly have new insights and new ways of looking at my world. I am willing to change and grow”.
