Psychic Question

Hi - I'm currently contracting, having taken redundancy from a long term role in Dec 2013. I need a new contract and also I'm really ready for a senior permanent role, but there is so much competition and not many good roles. Any tips or timelines for me? Thanks!

Firstly I am not being shown that you are going to experience unemployment and the next job that you manage to secure is of a higher role for you and there is a good balance of money appertaining to this. The main thing is to identify the job that you really want and then do your homework on how to obtain it. Once you have identified the job that you want make sure your CV is up to date and do your homework on the company check to see if it has been progress within the company for example any expansion. I feel that it will show whether you know about the business in your covering letter and interview therefore find out what you can. Once you have done this, try not to settle for less than what you deserve. Find out what similar positions pay and your opportunities for advancement. There is a new job for you in the near future of which I can see you will excel at and enjoy.
