I have always been somewhat aware that I had something going on, but it wasn't until going through some major dark times and traumas that I was fully able to connect with my gifts and use them to heal myself. I went through a massive spiritual transformation and found that my soul purpose is to help people, in whatever way I can. So I ended up leaving my boring soul-sucking call centre job, enrolled at college, got reiki attuned and also gave up smoking, drinking and meat all over the space of a month and am now just taking the first few steps on the path to becoming an energy healer.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
Being able to provide clarity & hope. Sometimes a client will already know the answer to their own question deep down but will just need a little bit of a push in the right direction to get to their 'eureka!' moment. I enjoy being able to provide that guidance so they can realise their full potential, feel good about themselves and trust in their own intuition.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
This is a brilliant question! I am so very Gemini, it hurts sometimes. Being the twin sign, I do have a distinct duality to my personality which is sometimes a bit of a burden as I often find I am literally in 2 minds about everything! We are often misunderstood and seen to be 2 faced, but it's not malicious, it's just you never know which side of us you're going to get, which some people find annoying. There are perks to being a Gemini though. For starters, we are never boring. Ours is an air sign, which means we are excellent communicators and know how to use our words effectively to get our point across
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
When I was about 13/14 I could always predict what song was going to come on when I had my MP3 player on shuffle, and around about the same time there was a boy at school that literally used to just appear any time I would say his name while I was with my friends. I didn't really think much of it then, I just thought it was embarrassing. It's only now that I've got older I realise I should have paid more attention!
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
My first ever call as a psychic reader was such a positive experience, I will never forget that one. There was also a photographic reading I did of a room where I was able to pick up on a spirit, his name and all the details of why he was there. I've also been following a pretty famous psychic for a couple of years now, who recently posted a picture of her crystal ball, asking people to name it. As soon as I saw it, I got a name, which wasn't a very common name at all. It turned out to be the ladies maternal grandmothers name, so that was really cool and I took it as a nod from the universe that I'm heading in the right direction.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
I have worked in customer services and call centres all of my working life up until now, so I'm used to speaking on the phone to people from a variety of different backgrounds and walks of life. I have also wanted to study counselling for years and I'm due to start this next year. I believe this will complement my readings. I'm also reiki 1 attuned.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
I think it's really important to understand and respect the true nature of psychic work. The querent needs to be as open and receptive as possible spiritually or the results will be unclear for both parties. It's kind of like tuning in a radio. If you don't know what frequency you're trying to find, you could be there all day looking for a station. Another thing to consider is that doing readings can be physically, emotionally and mentally draining, and most genuine psychics do this work as a way to develop themselves and help people.
